“Snoopy” is often said to be the sequel to “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” and is also based on the Peanuts comic strip. It focuses on Snoopy, who is present for every scene. We get to see things through the eyes of the world’s most famous beagle.
Audition Preparation Suggestions For Snoopy
This is an upbeat show. If auditioning with only one song, make sure it is an uptempo piece. |
- Snoopy (Tenor)
- The world’s most famous beagle, who does everything from flying a World War II fighter plane to writing the world’s greatest novel. Must have great comedic skills.
- Charlie Brown (Tenor)
- Snoopy’s owner, the pessimist who never can seem to do things right.
- Linus
- Charlie Brown’s overly intelligent best friend. He always carries his blanket with him, and is usually seen sucking his thumb.
- Lucy
- Linus’ know-it-all older sister. A bossy brat who believes that she’s better than everyone, and isn’t afraid to say what she thinks when she thinks it.
- Peppermint Patty (Alto)
- A tom-boy who would rather play baseball with the guys than walk around in skirts with the girls. Gets close to admitting that she has a crush on Charlie Brown at one point, but quickly covers it up.
- Sally Brown
- Charlie Brown’s little sister. The cutesy-type girlie girl who has an obvious crush on Linus.
- Woodstock (Mute, Dance/Mime)
- Snoopy’s bird friend, who never speaks, and must display numerous emotions with facial gestures and dancing.
