Growing up in a New York City neighbourhood, Rosie imagines she is a movie star who, along with her friends, Kathy, Alligator, Johnny, Pierre, and the Nutshell Kids, pretends she is making a movie about the mysterious "disappearances" of her younger brother, Chicken Soup. Everyone wants to be in Rosie’s movie, and her friends each show off their talents by auditioning for her.

Rosie- Bossy ten year old girl who plans to direct the movie "Did You Hear what Happened to Chicken Soup?"

Kathy- Rosie's sidekick and secretary who longs for her chance in the spotlight

Pierre- doesn't care and has a major attitude

Johnny- Shy and A Bit Nerdy

Alligator- Kathy's brother who actually belives he is an alligator

Chicken Soup- Rosie's brother who runs away
