Based on the play My Lady Friends by Mandel & Emile Nyitray, based on the novel Oh James! by May Edgington.
Early summer, 1925. Jimmy's traveling has found him with three girls in three different cities, and he needs to get rid of them before his wife finds out.

- The Smiths' adopted daughter, in love with Tom but wants to "taste the Roaring Twenties" before she settles down.

- Jimmy's friend and lawyer - flashy.

- Billy's wife - a glamorous cosmopolitan whose main hobby is shopping. Sue's best friend.

- Lucille's nephew and Billy's law clerk. He is straight-laced, possessive and in love with Nanette. He has to soft shoe in 'Tea for Two.'

- A busty, widowed greedy woman whom receives money from Jimmy.
