A backstage murder mystery set in 1959's Boston. The cast and crew of a Broadway-bound musical all become suspects after the the show's leading lady mysteriously drops dead onstage while taking her final bow to the sound of applause. |
- Frank Cioffi
- the detective - a community theatre ham who is backstage to investigate a murder but is also thrilled to be rubbing elbows with the performers
- Carmen Bernstein (Alto)
- the aggressive, determined, and sometimes ruthless producer - reminiscent of Fran Weissler
- Christopher Belling
- the egomaniacal and tempermental director. He loathes Jessica, and spits out witty & scathing comments at every opportunity
- Niki Harris
- the sweet, too-good-to-be-true ingenue
- Bobby Pepper
- the choreographer and leading man - a Gene Kelly type who is the one shining star in an otherwise dire show
- Jessica
- the star - a talentless leading lady
- Oscar Shapiro
- a big-wig in the garment industry who is a first-time investor in "Robbin' Hood" - he doesn't understand theater people, but is trying hard to fit in
- Bambi Bernet
- the ambitious understudy and chorus dancer - as the name might suggest, a true bimbo
- Daryl Grady
- the Boston Globe critic who has given "Robbin' Hood" a very bad review but has stuck around to cover the crime
- Georgia Hendricks
- the lyricist - Aaron's partner & ex-wife. A former dancer & singer who is later forced to replace Jessica after she is killed.
- Aaron Fox
- the "slightly mad" composer of "Robbin' Hood". Still in love with Georgia.
