Inspired by the bestselling book of the same title, Children's Letters to God follows five kids as they experience the unavoidable issues of the death of a pet, parents divorcing, friends moving away and childhood crushes.
Audition Suggestions for Children's Letters To God
All of the children should be able to pull off the "cute little kid" appearance with the possible exception of Brett, who has the most mature lines, but still needs to be able to sing along and blend with the group. A song sang by a modern kid would be the best choice. The cast should also be able to sing harmony well. |
- Brett Williams (13)
- a product of a divorce who begins as a doubter
- Theo (10-13)
- a young boy who is upset because he isn\'t good at sports, especially baseball
- Iris Chang (9-12)
- a little girl who's devastated when her best friend, Arnold the turtle, dies
- Kicker Brown (6-8)
- a little boy who's often picked on by the bigger kids and wishes he was an only child
- Joanna Brown (11-13)
- Kicker\'s older sister, a girly-girl who has a crush on Brett
