- Meet Me In St. Louis
- St. Louis 1903. The well-off Smith family has four beautiful daughters, including Esther and little Tootie. 17-year old Esther (Judy Garland) has fallen in love with the boy next door who has just moved in, John. The family is shocked when her father, Mr. Smith, reveals that he has been transfered to a nice position in New York, which means that the family has to leave St. Louis and the St. Louis Fair. The highlight most definitely has to be Judy Garland singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". Well, that and when she socks John in the kisser.

- Holiday Inn
- This is one of the finest holiday films ever made, featuring many wonderful Berlin holiday tunes, from "White Christmas" to "Easter Parade". Holiday hijinks ensue when Jim Hardy (Bing Crosby), decides that he's had enough of show business and chooses to retire to a farm in Connetticuit. His pal and partner Ted Hanover (Fred Astaire) steals his gal Lyla at the last minute, so Jim takes up the life of a farmer on his own. But the farm life drives him nuts. He decides to turn the farm into an inn, where he can do entertainment shows for every holiday. The result is Holiday Inn, "open holidays only". He meets and falls in love with Linda Mason (Marjorie Reynolds), a fellow entertainer, and she helps out with the shows. About this time, Ted's girl Lyla leaves him. Heartbroken, Ted shows up at Holiday Inn on New Year's Eve and does a new dance number with Linda. It looks like he's found himself a new dance partner. Trouble is, he was so drunk, he can't remember who she is! Jim knows if Ted hooks up with Linda, he'll take her away from the Inn (and him!).

- White Christmas
- Oddly enough, White Christmas the movie does not contain White Christmas the song. But it does have many other great Christmas songs and a great big hugful of holiday cheer. Two WWII veterans decide to form a song/dance act after they leave the war. They meet another song and dance team, two beautiful sisters, and follow them to a Vermont lodge to perform in a Christmas show. When they discover that their former commander, General Waverly, is the lodge owner, things start to get a little mixed up.

- Mrs. Santa Claus
- A TV movie starring Angela Lansbury. Mrs. Claus feels neglected and takes off on her own a week before Christmas. Although Mrs. Claus plans to be back in plenty of time for Santa to deliver all the toys on Christmas Eve, her schedule is overturned when Cupid hurts her leg. Mrs. Claus's adventures while stranded in 1910 New York are funny and heartwarming. Lots of wonderful characters, beautiful music, and a classic story that will definately become a favorite.

- Life With Mikey
- Even though it isn't really a musical, it's about a kids talent agency, and includes hilarious snippets of various Broadway songs. It's a cute Christmas story, starring the equally cute Michael J Fox.

- Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas
- This straight-to-video Disney sequel was released just in time for Christmas, with all the original voices, plus Tim Curry starring as the voice of Forte, a malevolent pipe organ.

- The Muppet Family Christmas
- It has ALL the muppets in it, from the Fraggles to the Seseme Street clan, brought together with original muppet songs such as "Pass it on" but also traditionals such as good-old "Deck the Halls". The medley at the end sung by all the muppets together leaves you with that great fuzzy feeling. I love Miss Piggy's reaction when she gets her "mink". What makes this movie truly special is the appearence of Jim Henson at the end, who shows up to wash the dishes.

- A Muppets' Christmas Carol
- Michael Cane is amazing! I really cannot give this movie enough praise. Not only does it contain a beautiful score, it is also one of the few versions of A Christmas Carol written for children that is funny, yet doesn't completely obliterate the original novel. Gonzo, narrating as Charles Dickens, actually quotes large portions of the book ver batim!

- A Charlie Brown Christmas
- Charlie Brown attempts to put on a Christmas pageant.

- Scrooge
- This musical version of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol will move you to tears, have you singing along with the memorable songs, and charm you with its exquisite Dickensian sets. Albert Finney's portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge is perfect to a T. From the opening scene in his counting house, Scrooge's poor treatment of his clerk, Bob Cratchit, convinces us that he has not an ounce of good will or love in his miserable old heart. The scene that follows Scrooge home is priceless, beginning with the song "I Hate People"
