Dancing at Lughnasa :]
Written by mrmistofolees19

Hi. I'm back.

So my school just finished our winter play Dancing at Lughnasa, and i'm pretty sure most of you havent heard of it. Our director chose it because it's not a High School-esque show, it is very difficult. And if we did good with it, he would believe that we can do anything. Well.... we were awesome. We got standing ovations each night, and people went right to our director during intermission and after the show, saying how great it was.

I wasnt in the cast (consists of only 8 people!!) but i was on hair and make up crew. But I had sooo much fun. A few weeks ago, I said here that I wanted to leave this school because I had no friends, which messed everything in my life up. But now, I'm staying for sure.

I was usually hiding in the corner of the dressing room for the most part, but one of the cast members just grabbed me and pulled me into this huge 'cuddle corner'(everyone clumped togeher in the darkest corner of the room haha). Then he forced me to tell them what my favorite stuff was. They are so nice to me now hahaha and all my drama friends that basically left me came back. I guess just being in shows is really what I was missing. I havent laughed or smiled so much this whole year. I definitly have to work harder to get in more shows now, and not just to build a resume. haha

yeah this was just an update on my drama life. Next, we have The Sound of Music auditions in a week, and I'm ready.

I did a scene from Dancing at Lughnasa at a theater camp I went to this summer. I was Rosie. It was a very different role for me but I loved it. I also did the Sound of Music at my HS last spring and it was a blast. I was the Mother Abbess. Not the female lead but a fun role none the less.
