We have been rehearsing for Beauty and the Beast (I'm playing Belle!) for a few weeks now and it's been so much fun! My boyfriend, who has zero experience in theatre singing or dancing, wanted to give it a shot so the director said he could join the production! He is having a great time, is nailing his lines (he's the baker in the opening scene) and just having a little trouble with the dancign but I'm going to help him out!

My favorite practice so far was when we blocked the ballroom scene and I got to waltz!! The guy playing the beast was a little shy and needed some encouragement, but he did pretty good! Next time we practice I'll work with him on using more of the stage (he doesn't take big enough steps).

Yesterday, I was at a restaurant with my boyfriend and little sister and we saw a little girl playing with a belle doll! (AWWW) So I did a little shameless advertising and let them know the details about the show and they seemed grateful! I hope I see them at the show!

Tonight my boyfriend and I are auditioning for High School Musical! Whoohoo! That will be fun since the last show I did (Kiss Me Kate) was more traditional it will be fun to do a contemporary show! I am planning to sing "Unexpected Song" if a pianist is provided. They usually do have one at this theatre, but last time I auditioned for that director she had us sing acapella! If that's the case I'll probably since "Gotta go my own way" which is a Gabriella song from the 2nd movie.

I hope my boyfriend doesn't get too nervous it's his first audition! He was just asked to be in B&B.
