I saw Mary Poppins a while ago and I've been meaning to put a review up of it.

I LOVE Mary Poppins the movie, it was pure classic. The musical? Very disappointing. The actors, the set and most of the effects were amazing but the characters and plot line were screwed up really bad to me. Ashley Brown has a wonderful voice, crisp and clear, but Mary Poppins the character is vain, weird and has a bit of an attitude. The kids who play Jane and Michael were mature actors but their characters were naughtier and mildly stupid. Mr. Banks either annoyed me or bored me. Daniel Jenkins' voice did not suit the character but his acting was pretty good. Mrs. Banks the suffragette (The spelling part of my brain is currently unavailable) is now Mrs. Banks the-former-theatre-actress-turned-proper-victorian-lady-because-of-husband's-respectable-career-in-the-bank. Rebecca Luker had a very nice potrayal though and it was really pleasing to listen to her sing.
