Wizard of oz update
Written by broadwaybaby13

Well, opening night is 3 days away and i really hope the main characters get their lines memorized in time. The promo was a couple days ago and the lion even forgot some of the words to his song! it was embarassing. The whole chorus is working extremely hard on our parts and the director treats us like we dont want to be there and were just making the show worse when its really some of the main characters who dont wanna be there and dont even have all of their lines memorized yet. but like i said in my last blog, some of the main characters are doing a great job like the scarecrow, the 2 guards, the wicked witch and glinda. Our dorothy isnt doing too bad either. But, it will be over soon and i can have a great time doing a professional show and not have to worry about it turning out bad. Theres still a chance that the wizard of oz wont be a total dud, but well just have to wait and see.

Oh, it bothers me when people don't take it seriously enough to get their lines memorized, especially big principal roles. :/ I've had some experience with that in the past, and I know exactly how you feel; it's not very pleasant. Some directors often seem to choose favorites and don't get as upset at principals forgetting their lines as they do with ensemble members and such, which annoys the living daylights out of me.

Break a leg, by the way! ^^ It's always so exciting when opening night comes around the corner. Hopefully everyone will have their lines memorized by then, and the "magic theatre fairy dust" will come out, and everything will be fine! Have faith! ^^
