I had the opportunity to see a youth theatre production of Godspell yesterday, and although I wasn't expecting much, I was blown away.  When I got my program, I realized that one of my friends from theatre camp last summer was playing John the Baptist/Judas.  (I was a little surprised that the character was played by a girl, but she was phenomenal)

I'm one of those people that cries during "By My Side", "On The Willows", and the finale, and it was incredibly moving

One of the funniest things that wasn't even in the show: the pianist was wearing a shirt that said "it's GAWD... not GAHHHHD" Which was something my director for Godspell last year said ALL THE TIME
