| So, Broadway Babies is about four days from opening and I'm excited! However, first I will go into details about yesterday's practice. Our director and assistant director's son was an alternate for Flounder in the Little Mermaid on Broadway and I will not give out his name. However, his mom has connections and knows a man that played George in Drowsy Chaperone. I don't know his name but he, his wife and three others came to see us go through the entire show, especially the Drowsy Chaperone numbers we are doing. I'm only in Show Off but that's okay. Anyway, he and his wife were dancing like old people during the Mamma Mia numbers, which I am both in and I have a solo/duet in "Dancing Queen."
Anyway, I'm sick at the moment so my voice is a little off but I hope to be better by opening. I'm so excited. This is my first community show and will be my last until next summer, unless I get my college stuff done. I want to go to Ithaca, major in Visual Communication Arts, etc. and minor in theatre or music. But I might audition for the musical theatre just to see if I get in. But anyway, it's going so great. The director had some notes for me today but I always take them in stride and i'm very professional about it. I never get called out for talking while they are talking and the director told me that I had a "BEAUTIFUL" voice in front of everyone and I felt so special. Haha. But yeah, I just wanted to post about this. And then I got cast in Honk Jr., that my school director is directing. I'm playing Henrietta. It's not the best part but I'm happy about it but I do know that I was seriously considered for Dot and if there was a chance that the Dot couldn't do it, I'm sure I would have been bumped up. But yeah, I'm so happy and I'm happy that a bunch of my friends are in Honk Jr. as well. But yeah, I gotta go.
Peace Out,
