I thought his cat deleted the sequel? Oh well, guess I was wrong.

His cat did destroy what he'd worked on so far (smart cat) but I guess he started over...ugh. Phantom is one of my favorite musicals, but a sequel? No. Just no...

Ugh, evil unnecessary sequel. smilies/angry.gif Does anyone know if he'll be making this into a movie, or replacing one of the stage shows?

I think it's a stage show (entirely unnecessary, of course) I've sen Phantom twice on stage and it's fine as it is!

A sequel would be horrific! How would they do it? The Prologue to the musical already suggests that Christine is dead, as the Vicomte is there without her and talk about her in the past tense. Secondly, Raoul is a Vicomte, and there is absolutely no reason why a Count of European nobility would go to America. And lastly, the Phantom dies three weeks after in the original book! I know that they never express that in the musical, but it is at least a possibility. As a fan of the original book, I feel like a sequel to Phantom would just.....ruin it.
