I hope it can work out...
Written by Starlet_Actress21
A lot of things have been going on lately, mostly good, a few not so good.

SS is going well- we open next week. Yesterday was our last non-tech, non-costume rehearsa, but it was cancelled due to snow. I love the cast, except for one boy, who plays my best friend. he is a good actor, so he doesn't show it onstage, but he seems to have found it necessary to give me mini acting lessons in the middle of scenes, under his breath. He's not so polite to others who make mistakes. I am getting pretty mad about this because I don't think he has any right to do this. He makes mistakes, too, and he doesn't have the authority to stand up in thie midde of a scene ad lecture us about projection.

But besides him, things have been going well. I got a casting notice for some short films being done a few hours way from me (at a college that rejected me, but is still my #1, LOL). I sent my headshot and resume in, and a few days later, they e-mailed me and asked me to come to auditions. I couldn't make it because of dance, but a few days ago, I shot a video of myself performing the required monologues, made it into a nice-looking video, and put it on YouTube. I e-mailed them the link, and last night I got an e-mail saying that they watched it and they still want me to come in. These "secondary" auditions are tomorrow. It's probably my fault that I got the date so late, as I posted my video a few days later than the auditions took place, but this is not helping my case with my mom. I have no money, so she'll have to pay for the train ticket if I convince her to let me go. I think she's on the fence about it; the tickets are probably expensive, and it is for a probably two-minute long audition in a city that's two hoours away. However, I know how to work the train schedule, I've done it before, and the train station is only three safe blocks from the college. Plus, they seem to really want me to come. The verdict will be in today, hopefully this afternoon. I'm using all my begging powers, LOL. I'm sure I'll have to pay her back, or do extra chores or something, but I just really want to go to this. I'mreally happy that they still want me to come, since the video was pretty awful.

In other news, a bunch of auditions are coming up, two which I didn't think I could make, but now can. One is for a film company I auditioned for in July, and I decided to refresh their memories of me. When I auditioned for them last, they seemed to like me and wanted to know when I was eighteen and if they could dye my hair, among other things. Nothing's come out of it yet, and I'm not really expecting it to, but it can't hurt to go agan (plus, this time my parents don't have to come with me, and it's closer to my house.) Another one is for a big, professional theatre that I've never been to. There's really only one part for me- Jenny in Shenandoah- so I don't think I'll get it, but it's worth a shot. The last one is the day after SS closes, for The Wisdom of Eve. I've a few years too young for the youngest girl, and look a few more years younger, but I had a great audition at this theatre over the summer, so I hope that'll work in my favor (and it's a play, which heightens my chances).

So with all this going on, I'm excited for March and what it might bring!
