I'm Free!
Written by Starlet_Actress21

Tommy is over- yayyyy! Actually, I did enjoy the majority of the shows, but getting there was terrible. My parents and I are furious at this theatre. It's been suppressed for awhile, but the final straw for my mom was when she looked at the program and saw that the producer had put her own name for assistant director instead of mine. I should have gone with my first instinct on this and dropped out. I tried to drop out 3 times, but was convinced not to by various people. Normally, if you asked me at the end of a production if I was happy I did it, I'd say yes. This time, it's a definite no.

However, I am overjoyed because tomorrow I get to go back to Secret School, which I LOVE. I tried to get to our picture rehearsal on Saturday, but the director and my other didn't understand how I was trying to make it work (my other and I would switch and I'd go to her slot and leave half an hour early, then she'd go to mine), so the whole thing was nixed. I was mostly trying to get there for the pictures. Plus, I feel bad that my cast has been without me for a few days. But I'll be back tomorrow, and I am so happy about it! We're supposed to be off book for 1... I don't know if that means Act I or Scene I... I'm hoping scene, especially since I wasn't even there when they blocked it. In any case, I'll be studying my lines like crazy today.

Today I have a pretty busy day. In about an hour, I'm leaving for Philadelphia to go to an audition.I'm excited because they might have me read cold instead of do a monologue, but if they want me to do a monologue, I have a comedic, dramatic, and Shakespearean one all ready. But cold reads are sooo much better. If I get out of there in a timely manner, I'm meeting up with my friend Tanesha to see Atonement again. I love that movie, especially since Keira Knightley's in it.  After that, I'll pick up my other friend and go to my first Triple Threat class in about a month and a half. I feel awful about missing that many, especially since they were all one-day's-notice things for Tommy, and also because there will be more to come.

We start a new school semester and, essentially, a new school year at my school (we have block scheduling). I'm keeping two of my classes because they're AP, but I'm moving from math to chemistry (great trade- off, huh? ). But I passed math, so I am DONE with secondary school mathematics!

So it seems like things will be getting a little more back to normal around me... if that's possible.

I hate how block scheduling affects fine arts programs. It's nearly impossible for anyone to have choir or band or theatre both semesters. Last semester I didn't have any and now i have two! It's one thing that makes me ready for college...

But yay for being done with math!
