Audition Results - Leader Of The Pack

If you read my very first blog bout a week ago, you would know that last week I auditioned for my schools musical, Leader Of The Pack. After hearing about some of the other auditions, I for sure thought I had a good part. Not to be cocky, but i thought i did pretty damn well in my audition
so yesterday the results were posted and i am in !!!!! I got the part of Shelley! Shes not a huge huge role, but im a jivette and i sing in a lot of songs and even though I havent gotten a script yet, im pretty sure my character is some what of an airhead. And i can actually play those REEAALLLLY well. Our read through of the script is on tuesday and i dont think ive ever been more excited ! But the casting is a little weird I will admit. The vocal teacher's favourites all have the lead roles and then there's us extra people. Also, the guy who had the lead role in our musical last year (he played Charlie Brown in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown), was bumped down to chorus with 30 other people. That to me makes no sense seeing as he has grown so much! Altho, he is the biggest ass when it comes to theatre. Some of the things this guy says ... but anyway !! I'm some what nervous for how this is gonna turn out because these main lead people have NEVEEERRR done any acting, and i swear to god if someone says "oh, well then this can be their learning experience" *********** cuz thats what a drama class is for! All I can do though is do my best at playing my part and suck it up. There's always next year.
