Hey All!

So, our last performance of "Beauty and the Beast" was a little rough, we had two understudies go onstage (for Maurice and D'arque) and they clearly had not done all their homework. The music was also a bit sketchy but the audience seemed to be none the wiser! And of course, I got to meet and greet all the children after the show in costume which I love almost as much as they do. haha

Afterwards our director let us know the casting for the next two shows. The next is called "Winter Toy Shoppe Musical" which is an original to this theater but I would think combines different holiday themed songs etc. I wasn't familiar with it at all so didn't know what to expect or which part I should be hoping for! lol She told me I'm going to be playing Raggity Anne! Some people who are familiar with the show said its a great role and I get a cool song! yay! Even better, they cast my boyfriend as Andy! How cute is that?? That should be a lot of fun!!

The show following "Holiday Toy Shoppe Musical" is "Suessical!" This one I am VERY excited about as this show has always been dear to me its just so sweet and I've always thought it would be so much fun to perform! I had a callback for Gertrude last week, and I did well. I thought it would be a fun role to play, but I thought it might even be more fun to be a birdgirl! Sure enough, I got birdgirl! So I am ecstatic and don't even care that I'm not Gertrude. In fact, the girl that did get that role is perfect for it and its her first lead since joining this theatre company almost 2 years ago! So I'm really glad she got it because she was getting frustrated and really deserved it. Oh ya!! My boyfriend got Vlad Vladikoff! Once I told him that was a bad guy he was super excited!

Auditions will be quiet for a while, none for a couple of weeks then "rent" and "Crazy for you" in late October.
