Auditions
Written by Contralto Diva

I'm auditioning for a local theatre company next week, and I have to pick two contrasting songs.   My repertoire doesn't have many songs in it ~ and I'm not sure what to use or if there's a particular combination that would be best.

The songs I have:

-I Got The Sun In The Morning (Annie Get Your Gun)

-Anyone Can Whistle (Anyone Can Whistle)

-How Are Things In Glocca Morra (Finnian's Rainbow)

- Look To The Rainbow (Finnian's Rainbow)

-I Ain't Down Yet (The Unsinkable Molly Brown)

-Nothing (A Chorus Line)

Any thoughts?

I say do what you feel most comfertable with, and whatever shows off the best of your talent. I love How Are Things In Glocca Morra (only because it's a personal favorite of mine) I'd try to make sure you do one up tempo song and one ballad if you can, just to show some range. I also find Nothing from A Chorus Line is much more an acting piece so it just depends on what you want to do. I hope your audition goes well. Break a leg!!!!!!
