open call?
Written by fairyfeetfive
So. recently I went to my second open call audition ever, for a professional production of the Music Man. (squee!) I think I did pretty well (they even said "very nice" after I sang, which they definitely didn't do for everyone), but I'm going crazy waiting to hear back! the audition was around 3 weeks ago, but rehearsals don't start until December. thoughts? also, would it be rude to just send a quick email thanking them for the experience and wondering if they had cast the show yet?

I wouldnt get pushy with them. Sometimes they reflect that as your personallity and think "high matinance." Its better to show your patiance and respect.

i would suggest sending the email, but be sure to stress the thank you and the quickness, NOT how the casting is progressing.
