I played Cecily once in some extracts of the play at my drama group. It's a good role! My drama teacher kept giving me the same direction so I made up the three Cs of Oscar Wilde:

Crispness (the way you speak)
Clarity (again the way you speak)
Corset (Posture is everything in an Oscar Wilde play!)

He also told me that Cecily, despite being so sweet and innocent, is very cunning below the surface

"Straight plays really aren't that much more difficult or different then musical theatre. The only difference is, your characters almost never express themselves through song or dance (and you will rarely ever have to do so in an audition for a straight play) so you're only doing one-third of the work. But, you must convey your character to the audience only through your words and gestures"
That was something close to what I read in a drama textbook once and it really helped me. My advice is just remember, your reading is everything. Really express yourself when you're reading your scene at the audition and try to show how you would play Cecily if you were cast in that role. Hope that helps!
