The Bad gets Worse
Written by katoru
So yeah... I was called into work today, and that was fine. Then afterwards took the bus to where my Anne rehearsal was supposed to be. Oh, I'd forgotten my cell phone today, and by the time rehearsal was supposed to start, it was apparent that it had either been cancelled or moved as no one else was there. I decided I would call my (ex) boyfriend and ask if he could pick me up and take me to my other rehearsal that was at the same time and in a suburb of my city, so no regular bus service. He brought my phone and sure enough, Anne rehearsal had been cancelled.

On the way there, we T-boned this sixteen year old in a van who had run a stop sign when we had a green light. Car is a write-off (front end is scrunched pretty good) and my whole right side is sore (whiplash and impact with the seatbelt). And I feel tremendous guilt for even having asked him to drive me anywhere since I'm supposed to be acting my age and fending for myself..

Oh, and a good friend of mine just resigned from the theatre company board I sit on, and he's quite upset. I don't like seeing my friends fighting and it only adds to my stress...

So after sitting in a clinic for a good two hours waiting to get checked out, I was poked at a little bit, given some ibu profin and sent home with "it's going to suck a lot worse tomorrow."

I'm hoping life starts to turn around soon.

yes, it's cliche, but doesn't it always get bad before it gets better? this too shall pass and you will be stronger and better for it. don't feel guilty about anything. your boyfriend could have said no to you-- he didn't need to pick you up. i'm praying for you that things get better. stay strong and get some rest-- forgetting your cell phone is most likely a sign that you are overstressed and overtired. lots of emotion going on for you right now-- don't forget about you and taking some time for yourself.

Jessica is exactly right, i was recently told that all things have to get worse to get better, and I stand strong with that statement. and also like Jessica said your ex-boyfriend could have said no. i think you really need sometime to yourself or with a really good friend. take a day off and just relax, go to a spa or simply rent some movies and go to a friends house and relax and refresh. Get some well deserved sleep as well. stay optimistic. everything happens for a reason, and all things turn around.

sorry babe!it sounds like you're insanely stressed...um, dur. theatre can do that to a person, as can horrific car accidents. thank god it wasn't worse though, and everyone's safe (presumably). so take a little time for yourself; relax and cool off before you get back in the wing of stuff!
