I Hope I Get It
Written by myturntobebrave

Well, I had my audition for "A Christmas Carol" today...and here's how it went

So, I did my monologue, nervous (as always) and I told the director I wanted the part of "The Ghost of Christmas Past". Well, after I finished, the director said she could tell I was nervous, and asked if I thought I could handle the "seriousness" of the role. Well, I wasn't sure whether or not she meant that I might get the role, or if she thought I couldn't handle it. So, I was kind of upset, but still excited. Cast list gets posted Friday!

Hard to say! Hope you get it.

In the future, don't be upset by any question that you are asked at an audition, unless it is an improper question (of course). No matter what, always answer a question like that in as positive a way as possible. Except for possibly seeing your knees shake (which is probably almost everyone who auditioned with you) you should always "act" like you are having a great time and that you know without a doubt that you would be the best choice. (Without being conceited of course.)
