"Joseph" Revival Reality Show - 2006/12/20 19:02 Following the lead of "You're the One That I Want", the West End is looking for a Joesph and a Narrator for a revival of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat...

I'm excited about this!! I love Joseph and I think any mainstream theatre exposure is fab. Opinions?

Re:"Joseph" Revival Reality Show - 2006/12/23 04:24 Actually I think "You're the One That I Want" is following the lead of the West End's "How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria"

Re:"Joseph" Revival Reality Show - 2006/12/23 04:31 The casting of the narrator horrifies me a little bit...

In almost every production of this show I have seen, the narrator is sung by some poppy nasal horrific excuse for a singer.

So I'm not holding my breath.

Re:"Joseph" Revival Reality Show - 2006/12/23 11:43 where do i sign up? i am neither poppy nor nasal and i am dying to do the role of narrator!! but i know what you mean, kris... and the one time i auditioned for the role, it didn't go to one, but TWO nasally poppy girls who had trouble harmonizing and staying in tune. go figure.... and the other times it's been done around here, the narrator has gone to girls (and once a guy) who think riffing is a necessity and who glorify the mix category of flimsy and throaty screaming (i think that's their interpretation of pop-belt mix???) lol... They call me Jessica (like: They call me lady luck... lol)

Favorite roles:

Eva Peron, Evita; Jack's Mother, Into the Woods; Sonia, Godspell; Anything Goes, Reno Sweeney; Audrey, Little Shop of Horrors; Catherine, Pippin
