Dreams Do Come True!! (ha...I'm so corny) - 2007/05/16 17:03
So Saturday I go to a callback for Ragtime and Dames at Sea, and I was at it for 12 hours (!) and then they cut me in the last set of cuts for the lead of Dames. I was so heartbroken, and I was exhausted, and I had been sick, so I had a miserable night. The next day I was resigned to being cast as whatever, and I was ready to play ensemble in Dames and work on my tap dancing.Then the next day I get a call from the theater saying they want me to come in and audition for them again. I had NO idea why but I showed up at 6:30 and they had me read for Evelyn Nesbit, and I nailed it(the musical director asked me to do the "Wheeee" a second time after I read because he thought it was so cute)! When I left, the director of Dames and the director of Ragtime were arguing about me, so I left giddily, happy that I was still up for a featured part. Then today I call the theater at 12, when the list is posted, and guess what...
I got Evelyn!! 
Rehearsals start tonight and I am SO excited, because Ragtime is one of my favorite shows!!
