Only registered members of our forum can post. Click "register" in the upper righthand corner of your screen to create your own free account.
How can I get one of those pictures next to my posts?
You can upload your own avatar (and change many other personal settings) by clicking on the "my profile" link at the top center of your screen.
What is a PM?
A PM is short for private message. Private messages are sent between one member and another - only the person the message is sent to can read it.
What are those threads that start with "DQ" and the date?
These are discussion questions, posted by our admin or moderators. They are there to stimulate conversations and also offer new members an easy way to "jump in" to discussions.
Why are my posts counted?
Post counting is a way for us to measure a member's contributions on the MTA forum. Only on-topic posts count, so the posts you make in the off-topic and games forums will not be counted. There is a minimum number of posts to be considered for moderator positions.
What is reputation/karma?
Every member can "rate" every other member on the forum. This is not a popularity contest - it is a way of showing who you respect and who you think is helpful and reliable. Negative ratings should only be used if someone has broken a rule, has made a rude comment, posts false information, etc. You can change your rating of someone anytime.
How do you disable email notification for threads?
Go to Profile Manager and go to the forum tab. It will list your recent posts, and any subscriptions that you have. Then, (obviously) just click unsubscribe.
