Re:Who is your musical theatre idol? - 2007/02/17 19:14I love Sutton Foster and Bernadette Peters, but no one yet has mentioned some of my other faves: Ashley Brown(Mary Poppins), Kerry Butler(Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors), Charlotte D'Amboise(who I saw play Roxy on Broadway in CHICAGO) Celia Keenan-Bolger(Spelling bee, Les Miz), Brooke Sunny Moriber(Parade, La Chiusa's Wild Party),
and who could possibly forget the AMAZING Kelli O'Hara(Light in the Piazza, Pajama Game)!

SHE IS EVERYTHING!!!!Acting is such a fullfilling choice in life that you just go up onstage or in front of a camera and tell your characters story. you leave all of your personal problems at home and just well you become your character and then that character lives in you. you start to become so into the scene that as soon as the play or movie's over you feel heartbroken."

SO- I can't say that I have a definite idol, but there are actors/actresses I admire:
- Kristen Chenoweth (ala Candide, not so much Wicked) - Stephanie D'Abruzzo (Avenue Q, I Love You Because) - Sara Ramirez (Spamalot) - Michael Crawford (Phantom) - Nathan Lane (Guys and Dolls)
But I'm very fickle when it comes to lists like these. It changes based on what shows I've seen recently, or have been listening to. *~Kristina~*
