Monologue Help Needed! - 2008/04/24 08:11
Okey-dokey, so it's not strictly musical theatre, but it's still an audition for the theatre. We're auditioning for As You Like It in May, and I need to prepare a monologue for it. The instructions a flipping vague as well. A reading from a character and play of your choice, but obviously I want to go classical, with it being Shakespeare and all.
Basically, I think we do the monologue and they cast us (or not ) in the role they think we'd suit best, rather than each person auditioning for a certain role. We've not really been told much, but I'm trying to find extra info.
What does everyone reckon - should I go Shakespeare and just do a different play, or do a different playwright altogether?
Oh yep, and I'm 14, but nearly 15 and look older, (age 13-15 are auditioning), tall, slim, blondish. Just in case that helps any.
Thanks!
So, my name is Shannon And I'm a 14 year old girl from England
