The Theatre Performer's Essentials - 2008/04/19 20:42 What are some of your essential, must-have items? Don't have to be theatre related. But these are items that you have to have with you at the theatre.

Mine:
Sharpie (for autographs)
Hand Sanitizer
Tide to go pen (because I am a very messy person)
Travel-sized deodorant/ perfume
Any sort of mint
Tea bag, sugar, and honey packet (Because if there is water and a microwave around, you can bet I'll be making tea.)
Burt's Bees Chapstick
Hairbrush
Melchi Gabor, he's such a radical!!!

How creative! I never thought of that.

The only things I really must always have is Bobby Pins and Safety Pins, because our theatre, no matter how many packages we buy, never has any sitting around to use.

Re:The Theatre Performer's Essentials - 2008/04/20 11:59 Ooh, definitely hairspray. In a hidden spot where no one else will find it. It's the only thing I don't like to share, because it gets used up so fast and then you don't have any when you really need it. - Caitlin / Cait -

Favorites Belle in Beauty and the Beast (2008), Jupiter in Cymbeline (2006), Narrator in Joseph... (2005)
Present (possibly) YAGMCB...

That's a new one.

I also carry around a mint can with everything from Tylenol to Benadryl to Heavy Duty Pain meds because you never know whats going to happen. (I broke my baby toe in between shows for B&B and out beast sprained his ankle, yay pain meds)

Also Vodka. If you put it in a spray bottle and spray it on costumes it gets the smell out. (especially good for long runs)

haha, from 'She's The Man'! I use that too.

The scene order thing is a lifesaver, too. I was in a show chock-full of flashbacks and it was the companion to my bible (script)
