Re:Who's voice would you "steal"? - 2007/05/21 21:46 OOH I also want Kristin Chenoweth's voice because she has a four octave range and can sing opera which might come in handy...you know if I ever want to do opera.

And Julie Andrews because it's just so Julie! Like you automatically know it's her and it's beautiful! As long as I got her speaking voice too, otherwise it wouldn't be so distinctive.

Of course as I said before Sutton's because she is amazing or...astonishing!
The opposite of Rent is Oklahoma!!! Why didn't I think of that?

Re:Who's voice would you "steal"? - 2007/05/25 18:24 Idina, because I can't belt at all, and she sounds gorgeous.

Then Shirley Jones and Christiane Noll. Christiane never got much credit for being a leading lady in Jekyll & Hyde, Linda Eder did. But her voice is just beautiful.

Re:Who's voice would you "steal"? - 2007/05/26 08:27 You guys were giving me the chills talking about The Les Mis dream cast getting you involved in theatre... I would watch it over and over when I was 6 or 7, not really having any clue about what was going on, but I would tell my mom, " mommy I want to do that", okay so...

ANYWAY,

i would LOVE to have Sutton's Voice... of course Lea, And for some odd reason I LOOOOOVE Beth Leval's (The Drowsy Chaperone herself) voice... Listen to Stumble Along... SHE IS AMAZING!

Re:Who's voice would you "steal"? - 2007/05/27 20:31 I totally have too agree with everyone who said Lea. Her voice is so amazing...especially her Fantine. I'm sad that I can't go to NY to see her in Les Mis cause I just went last year. And Lea Michele has a beautiful voice....I agree with Idina cause it's such a unique voice.

Re:Who's voice would you "steal"? - 2007/05/27 21:23 Hmm ... Idina Menzel or Kristin Chenoweth. But, I really love Eden Espinosa's voice as well. I really love Heather Headley's voice too. Same with Sherie René Scott.
Wow, I can't choose at all. Can't I just mix them up into a huge concoction of musical bliss. All I know is that if I were I guy I would steal Adam Pascal's voice hands down. Just listening makes me swoon.

Re:Who's voice would you "steal"? - 2007/06/06 09:07 Kristin Chenoweth. She's probably not THE greatest of all of the sopranos who've ever been on Broadway, but I love the way her voice sounds - I could listen to it for hours. Not to mention that she can sing classically AND belt. Can't get much better than that.

Idina Menzel, on the other hand, I get tired of quickly. She's good, but I don't think she's the best belter who's been on Broadway in the last few years, plus her voice has this annoying quality to it (in my opinion) that makes it hard to listen to for extended periods of time.

Re:Who's voice would you "steal"? - 2007/06/15 22:55 Norbert Leo Butz has the most amazing voice, but since I'm a female, if that came out of my body, people probably wouldn't find it so amazing!

I love Kerry Butler (Hairspray, Little Shop, Xanadu)'s voice. That's would be great to have.

However, I think the voices I'd most like to have would be Jennifer Colby Talton (Mimi, Rent 06-07 tour) or Karmine Alers
(Mimi, Rent, Replacement). They both are so fantastic.

Re:Who's voice would you "steal"? - 2007/12/28 12:31 Ooh! I would want Sara Ramirez's voice! The original Lady of the Lake. I think she's amazing for musical theatre.
And I looove Sherie Rene Scott, and Audra McDonald. and oh gosh who is the original Emma Carew in Jekyll and Hyde? She's amazing!

And I would sell my soul to sing like Sutton Foster.

If I were a boy, I think I would be either Hunter Foster or Harry Connick Jr. - hahah!

However, since I'm a girl, it's Kerry Butler (Hairspray, BATB, Prodigal, Xanadu) or Karmine Alers(Swing for RENT, saw her as Mimi, she's amazing).

Re:Who's voice would you "steal"? - 2008/01/08 01:22 First, to answer brimarie91's question, depending on if you are talking the concept album with Anthony Warlow or the OBC w/ Robert Cuccioli then it is either Carolee Carmello or Christiane Noll, both are amazing performers with great voices.

Who's voice would I steal? I have 4:

Brian Stokes Mitchell - Need I say more?

Steve Balsamo - Jesus in the 1997 London Revival of JCS.. Best... Falsetto/Male Mix... Ever... Period.

Adam Lambert - Understudy Fiyero in the LA Wicked, check out the youtube video of him singing Heaven on Their Minds.

Drew Sarich - He has such a unique sound, somewhere between punk and broadway, you can also find him on youtube.

Well that was fun!
Mike

Current Role: None
Last Role: Charlie Brown - You're a Good Man Charlie Brown
Favorite Role: Bobby Strong - Urinetown
