Re:Headshot critique - 2007/10/22 21:20 Those are really cute! Maybe less distracting clothes, but that color looks good on you. and in black and white with a totally plain background.

Re:Headshot critique - 2007/10/22 23:01 I agree with Addicted2Driftwood. Take away from distractions. Maybe you should make sure you part your hair straight. It's not very important but it can take away from your face if being looked at by a extremly picky person. Other than that, they're cute. --Ashley--

Re:Headshot critique - 2007/10/23 22:27 I think these look very professional.

Don't worry about having colour shots - it is becoming much more common to use coloured ones than it used to be, and it is easy enough to have a b&w version made later.

The only thing I find distracting about these shots is the fact that the top you have on underneath is only showing in one place, which makes it look a bit odd, but that's only if we're really nitpicking.

I don't see a problem with your hair or the background... your shots look very natural, as they should, especially at your age. (In my neck of the woods, straight parts are very "out" anyways. )

And bravo for not being afraid to smile with your braces! (My favorite angle, by the way, is #4. I really feel I see a glimpse of your personality when I look at it)

Re:Headshot critique - 2007/11/06 16:38 I agree with the above poster -- #4 is full of personality. In that one, you look like someone I'd really like to hang out and have coffee with.

Re:Headshot critique - 2007/12/16 20:56 I like them! #'s 1 and 6 are good ones.

and i have a question, exactly how much does getting a headshot cost? I'd love to get one, instead of just using my school picture over and over again, but the price is really what matters. Thanks, and excuse me for my randomness!

Re:Headshot critique - 2008/01/04 17:58 You are really cute, so any photographer who shoots you will have a lot to work with. Here are some tips: take them for what they are worth. Shoot on a plain background. You don't want to have the different colors of that sidewalk pull your focus. Pay attention to your hair a little more, like on your left side where you have some strands of hair. Also, on your right side of your head. Even if you just smoothed that out with your hand would have improved it. I also think you should have more makeup on. Under that bright sunlight, you skin looks blotchy. Al little foundation would do wonders.

Yiou have great camera presence, and you should have no trouble getting a killer head shot, but it is like the man said "God dwells in the details of our work!"

Good luck!
