dance shoes - 2008/01/20 16:34 I have noticed that jazz shoes (at least mine) are rather uncomfortable, and I was wondering if there are any inserts or anything, that I can put in them. Maybe a pad that goes in the heel.. They are fine with socks, but I usually can't do that in a show. Current: none

Re:dance shoes - 2008/01/20 19:25 Are they new? If they are they hurt to break in, badly.

Also, are you sure that they fit?

Edit: To solve the socks problem, wear tan tights.

Re:dance shoes - 2008/01/22 03:44 That's weird, I think my jazz shoes are the most comfortable shoes I own! I would say they need to be broken in if they are new, or are just too small. Also, try getting a pair of dance sleeves (or socks, or whatever they're called) that are basically socks made out of tights material. That's what I use. Micah---

Re:dance shoes - 2008/01/22 09:25 Are you a dancer, or someone who uses dance shoes for shows?

I'm asking because dance shoes really shouldn't be uncomfortable, so if they are it could be that the shoes you have are of low quality or you were not fitted properly when you bought them.

If they are new, I might consider taking them back to the place where you bought them and have the size checked, and possibly try to exchange them for a different style or brand.

Even if you haven't broken them in yet, they really shouldn't be hurting in the heel.

Re:dance shoes - 2008/01/24 18:41 What kind of jazz shoes are they? Do they tie or do you slip them on? Or are they jazz sneakers? Do they have stretchy spandex type stuff in the mid-section? Definitely make sure they are fit properly. That can make a world of a difference!

Is that the smell of sulfur?
Oh its a stage effect!

Release your davits and jump!

-I've had a vision!
-Of disaster?
-No, of azaleas!

There is a curious paradox that no one can explain: who understands the secrets of the reaping of the grain? Who understands why spring is born out of winter's laboring pain, or why we all must die a bit before we grow again? I do not know the secret, although I know it's true. I hurt them for that reason. And myself a little bit too.

Re:dance shoes - 2008/01/26 13:07 They are relativly new, but i think that it is my foot not the shoe. Thank you for your good advice, I think they are tight because my foot is still swollen, and i just didn't notice. Current: none
