Seussical audition - 2008/04/23 19:21 Howdy,
I have a Seussical audition on May 2nd. I don't know the show that well, okay not at all, only from WIkipedia and from here. The music is great and we've been encouraged to sing a song from the show. I'm thinking of singing "How Lucky You Are", a Cat in the Hat song. What do y'all think?

Re:Seussical audition - 2008/04/24 08:06 That's a good one, especially if you want to be the Cat. I would suggest using the main song for the character you would like to be cast as most, since there are very few solos in Seussical, more commonly a duet or more or ensemble with a lead soloist. Re:Seussical audition - 2008/04/25 21:27 Really? The Wickersham Brothers are your Fav? I love Horton and "Alone in the Universe" but while I battle my weight I am no gentle giant as you can see from my headshot.

I'm in rehearsal for a "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" right now. Although only 2 weeks of rehearsal time overlap and none of the performances I don't think I have a very good shot at Seussical. BUT if they'd let me I'd do it.
