I think it would be a good choice. Make sure the styles of that character's songs match those of "Take Me or Leave Me." It's a GREAT song when it's done well, but keep in mind it is written as a DUET, so some editing may need to be made if you are planning on doing the entire song. If you're only doing 16 bars or so, one of the verse should be fine.
As for dance, there is NO tap and very little ballet training. It's mostly jazz with some strong African roots to it, both in some of the songs and the dancing itself.
