This Is Me - 2007/01/25 18:27Name: my name is Nikki Hogan, Age: I’m 18 years old (57 days away from 19 which I’m only counting down to b/c 19 is a big milestone here in Canada) What's your favorite show? my favorite show is The Phantom of the Opera...its the one I’ve seen the most and the first show I ever saw done professionally. Least Favorite Show? My least favorite show would have to be Mamma Mia...I don’t know exactly why, it just rubs me the wrong way. Your favorite role you've had: The role I’ve loved playing the most was Nellie from Jekyll & Hyde...there’s just something about playing a prostitute that makes it so much better than any other role I’ve ever done. What is your ultimate dream role?? My ultimate dream role is one that hasn’t been created yet, there are tons of roles id love to get the chance to play but I’m still looking for that one that sticks out among the others. How did you get into theatre? I got into theatre through my brother...he was in a play and I went to see it and somehow managed to end up sitting next to the director...I knew the entire play b/c of hearing him practice so I said the whole thing under my breath and at the end of the show the director told my mother that he was casting for Annie in a month and he wanted me to be his molly...from then on I was unstoppable! Coincidently, I’m currently in Annie right now and it’s my 5th time in the production. Something you can't live without (You can't say anything theatre related) I don’t think I could live without McDonalds. I love to eat junk food, stuff that’s just horrible for you. Also, b/c of my loyalty to Mickey D’s I refuse to watch the movie Supersize Me...they tried to get us to watch it in one of my classes in high school so I skipped out of class for the 3 days they were watching it, I’d rather not know exactly the horrible effects of the food, I just want to eat it. Any Random Fears: I don’t really have any random fears that I can think of at the moment, but if I find any I’ll keep you posted. Oh, but I was afraid of toothpaste when I was little (my brothers told me it was made of dead people, kinda like soylent green). If you had to eat one thing forever what would it be? Play Any Sports? I sort of play sports...when I get the opportunity I’ll play whatever you want, but I don’t do anything athletic regularly except a little jogging and dancing. Favorite Color: My favorite color is green. I love everything which is why 95% of my clothes are green, unfortunately though, I’m a redhead so I tend to look like Christmas all year round. What's your voice part? I sing soprano, first soprano. I like the insanely high stuff and I’ve almost made it to the point where I can hit the note at the end of The Phantom of the Opera...it’s hit or miss, sometimes I get it, but not always. That’s what I’m working towards though. I can also do some of the lower stuff...I’m trying to open up my lower register, but its going pretty slow. How did you find MTA? I found it on livejournal in the audition help community I belong to...someone had posted asking for help and this was the site someone sent in to help Anything else? Sorry this got kinda longwinded...I’m also a bit of a writer, so things most people would normally say in two words or less, I always find the need to elaborate with 3+ syllabled words. Also my spelling is horrible, and my grammar is pretty bad, so I’m not a very good writer, but I still try!Nikki!! currently rehearsing: Lady Viola/Cesario (Twelfth Night), Joan of Arc (a raisin in the sun)

Re:This Is Me - 2007/01/28 16:08wow ive wouldntve thought there would be so many canadians here... and just for the record its not the drinking im excited about, b/c i dont drink (or smoke or have any bad habits apart from being obsessed with the theatre lol) im waiting to turn 19 so i can go see shows at the casino b/c the only slightly interesting things that ever come to windsor go to the casino...otherwise ive got to go to detroit (which rent is comming to just in time for my brithday!! yay!! even though ive already seen it like 6 times, it gets better at each new place!)
and i dont know about karaoke bars in alberta, but i work at the main one in windsor and let me tell ya alcohol and karaoke are not a good mixNikki!! currently rehearsing: Lady Viola/Cesario (Twelfth Night), Joan of Arc (a raisin in the sun)
