My arguement to my Board... - 2007/02/18 22:35
We have one last show to pick for the season, it is our closing musical.
I have to give the board the final choices but I already know what I want to do.
let me explain a little... the Board of Directors for the theater are not a very savvy bunch... they know Oklahoma and that is about it.
So I have to convince them that "Little Women" is a good choice to close a season with. First, I love the show, it is awesome.. the lead on broadway is from our home town also which helps... (Sutton Foster) Lots of women in the show of course which is good also. Costumes are about the only thing that may put a little strain on the budget.
The other choice is Urinetown which has been produced by all the surrounding theaters already and NO ONE has done "Little Women" yet.. so we would be the first - They (The Board of directors) HATE being first with anything.
The third choice is "Putting It Together" - which is ok. since it has a small budget they would like that.. but I REALLY want Little Women.. so - how do I convince them.. any ideas?
