Two very different animals, my friend. There's a lot of down-time between shots and during set up and everything, so you get the chance to ask questions and learn a lot if you don't goof off. You do shot after shot of the same scene from different angles for the sake of the editors-it feels like it takes forever, even for a scene that only lasts a few seconds. Since you get so many takes, you don't get the charge you do when you're onstage, performing in front of a crowd. It's got to come from somewhere else. And you have to keep yourself in check. You don't have to work too hard to overact on camera. It was a really interesting expirience, and I definately want to do it again as soon as possible. Don't write yourself off because you're still in high school. There are always casting directors looking for younger actors, so just keep your eyes and ears open. I was a senior myself when I did this. Even if you are busy, your resume and your bank account will thank you for taking the time to pursue a film project or two.
