Re:Losing Weight - 2008/03/07 13:23 My advice is - Do Not Yo Yo. By that I mean loose 10 pounds, gain 5, loose 10 more, gain 20 back. Up and down, up and down. It triggers things in your body that keep you from changing your body. It actually does damage. If you really want to loose weight, you have to say to yourself that you are changing it for life. Get professional help to change. No fad diets - they ALWAYS fail in the end. Find a way of life that you can live on the rest of your life. It is more unhealthy to yo yo than to be a little overweight. Not knowing you, I would judge if you are a big girl - large boned, stocky type, etc. If you are, your ideal weight might not be a reality. You might not ever get that body like Nicole Kidman. You have to realistic. If you got that thin, you might not be Healthy. Your health is the most important thing. So aim for a realistic body weight you can maintain "forever". Learn to be comfortable the way you are in your own skin. Be you - in everything you do. That goes for the acting roles you seek. Be you - your type. Learn to accept it. It is part of accepting yourself. Concentrate on becoming the best performer in all that you train in. In dieting - think more about changing your lifestyle in the types of foods you eat and exercise you do on a daily basis. Weight might not come off fast. It is best if it comes off slowly.

I will add. Diet soda is THE WORST thing you could drink. It has chemicals in it that make you gain weight. No fake sugar in any product ever. Chemicals are bad. Foods that say low-cal or non-fat are less healthy for you than the real thing. Eat whole foods, real sugar if you must, fruits, veggies, whole yogurt - not low or non-fat, whole grains. Eat real food - not diet crap. No prepackaged food (frozen or stuff in a box). Learn to cook! Seriously! Cook for your family - become a chef.
