3 good singing African americans, 2 are mother and daughter, and another is a big strong singer.

Large cast but no children

5 female leads
5 male leads

ensemble show

It's controvesial.

Has a few make out scenes

more of an adult type show PG13

Drama in the 2cd act.

for high school.

if you have any ideas what this musical is let me know

Gawsh, I'm not terribly expireinced in musical theatre, but a controversial show involving african-americans could easily be Hairspray. Did it involve and female role that's played by a man? (For vocal quality and character developement.) <3 Katy

It's a bit controversial...poor, black peasant girl falls in love with rich, half-black man. Their love is forbidden by the two different worlds on one island. It seems to have about 5 female and 5 male leads too. I apologize if this isn't right.
