I Stand - Idina's New CD - 2008/02/03 12:06
OK...here's my semi-review of Idina's new album.
For those of us in the theatre world, you've no doubt heard of Idina Menzel, who won a Tony for her role as Elphaba in Wicked and a nomination as Maureen in RENT. Her new album, "I Stand" was released this past Tuesday. While still essentially a "pop" album, it doesn't lack the vocal skills that we've come to expect and love from Idina. She is not, as she fears, overly dramatic. Her songs have wonderful lyrics, very relatable. The melodies are very catchy, (I swear, they're all stuck in my head as we speak), and fully Idina.
Overall, this is a wonderful album. 10/10.
