Re:Terrence Mann!! - 2007/10/21 19:22
Terrence Mann is originally from North Carolina, so we simply invited him back to direct...and the show was INCREDIBLE!! Here's my synopsis of the cast...( we went to the September 28 7:30 showing.)
Jean Valjean (played by Jim Dadosky) - Wow. He was an incredible Jean Valjean - some of the high notes on "Bring Him Home," seemed to give him some trouble, but overall incredible.
Javert (played by Nick DeVito) - An excellent Javert, very convincing. I found myself somewhat liking and disliking Javert (the character) he played him really well.
Fantine (played by Emily Gardenhire) - Wow. She was possibly the best actress onstage...her I Dreamed A Dream and the Finale both gave me chills.
The Thenandiers (played by Molly Ward (who's mother works with mine) and Jackson Bloom)- OMG HILARIOUS!!! I found myself laughing the entire time – Emily’s hair was so cool, it was burgundy and in tight little ringlets.
Gavroche (played by Nicholas Thoma) – He was so adorable as one of the youngest cast members – very fiery and just overall adorable.
Eponine (played by Kelsey Waltson) – A very good Eponine, I loved her in “A Heart Full of Love” as well as “On My Own.” Her death was awesome, too.
Cosette (played by Lauren Barone) – Wow. She could SING! She had a wonderful lyric soprano and hit all of her high notes excellently
Marius (Andrew Way) – It is because of him I am now in love with “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables” He had AWESOME looking hair, too. Great voice.
Overall, the show was amazing. I didn’t get to meet Terrence Mann, unfortunately, but he’s actually staying in North Carolina for some time and I think starting a workshop. Hopefully I can sign up. He came out onstage to speak and I was screaming for him so much the people next to us switched seats. (lol)
Melchi Gabor, he's such a radical!!! |
