However, since I don't have a subscription I can't really read the rest of the listing. I don't know if it is for all roles or just particular roles. Best bet would be to get Backstage.

It says they're casting ensemble and understudies, and there is no gender indication...............though I can only see the short version. However, my school gets Backstage, so I can look there. But it seems they're looking for anyone and everyone.

Re:Les Mis Cattle Call - 2007/10/19 18:31Even though auditioning for Les Mis would be a great experience in itself, I would just like to let everyone know that they probably will not be casting because (even though it is not official yet) Les Mis is closing in January. It is a requirement for Broadway shows to have EPAs and chorus calls every six months whether they cast from these calls or not. Despite this though, it would be a great experience to even be seen by Tara Rubin Casting and it might even be easier for non union members to be seen since alot of union actors will probably be aware that it is closing soon. Anyway, just thought I'd let people know

Re:Les Mis Cattle Call - 2007/10/19 18:39Also, addressing the fact of being non equity and auditioning for an equity show, it is not true that they will not want you. When you go to one of these open calls as a non union member you sign up on a standby list for non union members and if an equity member does not show up for their particular timeslot, they will give it to a non equity person on the list. You just have to wait around and even though their is a good chance that you will be seen, you have to be prepared not to be too.
