Michael Crawford on PBS - 2007/09/23 01:23 i found out about this a while ago, but i don't think anyone else knows. this is directly from mcifa.com (michael crawford fan association):
"Michael announced to M.C.I.F.A. members that he is in the early planning stages of a new PBS special and concert tour, hopefully for late 2007 or early 2008, though the timing is uncertain. Based on enthusiastic audience response in Long Beach and Lake Tahoe to the new songs and video bits he had added to the concert, he will be creating a brand new show, centered around this and other biographical material. He is hoping this new show will be ready for PBS filming in late 2007, but that is yet to be determined. "
YAAAYY!!! if no one can tell, i LOVE michael crawford. i know there are other fans of his here too. to everyone else: yes, he IS pretty old, 65, but he can still sing quite as well as he did in phantom of the opera, according to people who've seen his concerts over this summer. so it wont be like... uhh.. liza minelli, or those other old people who speak-sing with raspy voices. michael's very much healthy, and can still hit those high A's in music of the night. he's lucky.
anyone else super excited???! i'm going to drop everything else going on that day and watching it. and if i cant, i'll pay someone to tape it for me.*´¨) ¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨) (¸.•´ (¸.•´ Annie

Re:Michael Crawford on PBS - 2007/09/23 12:13i read it a few weeks ago. i used to be a member of the MCIFA.... *blush* maybe i will share some of my michael crawford stories someday....
i would like to see it. they write "brand new show" so i hope he's changed the program and it's not the same one from a few years ago. that one had some biographical anecdotes, too.
regarding his health, he's had some health issues recently. i don't recall them ever specifying what but they have been there. even in his early career. but i still enjoy him as a performer. i prefer seeing him in a show to his concerts, but i will always be a michael fan!

Re:Michael Crawford on PBS - 2007/09/23 13:26WHAATT?? you've met michael??!!! lucky! that's amazing, i wish i was a member, but i'm not sure if you have to pay money and if theres an age limit... hehe i'm only 14.
lol about his health... he did get sick from woman in white (his huge fat suit, the heat, the lights...), which i'm sure you know, but according to one youtube member who's ALL OVER his youtube videos, she's seen his recent concerts, and he's fine. unless something more recent has come up.... hmmm....
i also love him more in shows rather than concerts too.... because it shows how well of an actor he is.... some phans say "god he's horrible at singing" (grr) but have they seen him act in phantom?? no. *´¨) ¸.•´¸.•*´¨) ¸.•*¨) (¸.•´ (¸.•´ Annie
