Jekyll & Hyde open audition in Illinois - 2007/08/07 13:21 Hi all,

I'm new to the board (see my post in the welcome section) and want to start things off by spreading the word about upcoming auditions for Jekyll & Hyde in Danville, Illinois. (I'm directing.)

Auditions will be held Sunday, August 19, at 2:00 p.m. and Monday,
August 20, at 7:00 p.m. at DLO Center Stage in the Danville Village
Mall (near Steve and Barry's). All roles are open.

There are full details about the audition process, including a
detailed character breakdown with vocal ranges and dance/stage combat
requirements at www.danvillelightopera.com.

I'm looking forward to reading other posts and getting into some great discussions!

Re:Jekyll & Hyde open audition in Illinois - 2007/08/08 11:51 i would love to do it, but im also really far from illinois. they just did this show at my camp and i LOVED it, it was amazing. i think the storyline in the musical is slightly weak but the actual music is incredible. at my camp, they split jekyll and hyde and it worked so well...the two who played it were amazing and they even looked somewhat alike so no one suspected that they weren't the same until he burst through the mirror. it was literally a mob to get in and they had to turn away two hundred + people each of the two nights. you have a really good show-- it can be amazing!! have fun directing it- i know that my director did. Re:Jekyll & Hyde open audition in Illinois - 2007/08/10 15:20 Very cool idea about using a mirror and two actors. We're banking on finding one very talented (and slightly neurotic) guy to handle "both" roles for us.
