Spitfire Grill - 2007/07/15 18:30 I am thinking of what to submit for next season 2008-2009
I just heard this show Spitfire Grill - how awesome is this show!

Has anyone seen it? Been in it?
I can see it done with a simple suggestive set which is always good (Can you say Budget)
Now to get people in the theater to know it is a good show.. hummmmm

Others I am thinking of submitting, Whorehouse and Big River. Kind of on the fence with those two but neither have been done here ever.

I haven't even STARTED this season (well sort of but no productions up yet) and already I have to think of what to do for the next season... my brain is fried.
Currently Directing -
Sweeney Todd (March 2008)

Currently In - Jan 11 - Feb 3 2008
Moonlight And Magnolias - Ben Hecht (non musical)

Re:Spitfire Grill - 2007/09/15 16:40 Hey, Johnny!

Welcome back!

I like Big River and I've been in it (Widow Douglas, I think her name was) BUT...

Our production was THREE HOURS LONG!!!

And it's hardly a low-budget production, don't you think?

Good luck!

Re:Spitfire Grill - 2007/09/20 19:36 Spitfire Grill is a wonderful show. I saw it at the Utah Shakesperean Festival several years ago and absolutely loved it. Not a large cast, nice personal space, and the set, although not incredibly extensive, looked like it with minimum effort. It may not be as well known, but it definitely is a a very touching piece that appeals to a wide range. Good choice, Johnny.
