The Coolest/Hardest Show I've ever done.... - 2007/05/27 11:05
So on friday night at 8PM I came and auditioned for this show... 7/24... Iauditioned with a monoluge, and I got a call saturday morning that I had been cast.
14 writers had written 7 one act plays Late Friday Night and Early Saturday morning. The 7 directors came back at 7 saturday morning, to cast these shows, and called all of the cast members between 9 and 10 that morning.
Once we all got there, rehersals started. The show was blocked, the characters were interperated and the script was well... changed. (Lets just say, this wasn't any Neil Simon.)
After running through the One Act MANY MANY times, we eventually had a tech rehersal, getting to see many of the other shows.
We went back to the rehersal room,. where during a death scene, one of the main actors twisted his back, PUTTING HIM IN A WHEELCHAIR!!!! (Which actually ended up very funny for the show!)
So at 8PM that night, 24 hours after auditions, each cast performed their one acts, that had been cast, written, blocked, rehearsed and memorized in the past 24 hours...
Just thought I'd share.. .
