LOL! I totally snorted when I read those. And Ed, too!

Re:What's your favorite cliche theater saying? - 2007/11/24 08:58Not really cliche, but for my drama class at school, we often tell each other "Keep smoking for Jesus!" kind of as a farewell. This was due to an unforgettable improv game:
Toby: Look at that girl. What a slut. Luke: I don't think she's so bad. Toby: But....she's.....smoking! Eww! Luke: How do you know that means she's bad? She might be...smoking for Jesus!
And for the girls, it's tradition to belt Disney classics after a show when we're taking off the makeup."RENT fans....are colloquially known as RENTheads, and even more colloquially known as the most annoying of all musical fans." (However, Wicked fangirls may soon beat them...C: )
Dream roles: Cathy - the Last Five Years Kim - Miss Saigon Eponine - Les Miserables Amneris - Aida Wendla/Ilse - Spring Awakening

Re:What's your favorite cliche theater saying? - 2007/11/24 22:10haha! When we put on our makeup, its tradition to belt out Queen songs, especially Bohemian Rhapsody. We did it for warmups once, I think!
And for awhile, you couldn't go anywhere without hearing: "His...name...is Lancelot. And in tight pants a lot, He likes to dance a lot"

Re:What's your favorite cliche theater saying? - 2008/01/19 20:55When I did Cats the most common thing heard backstage (besides "Shut up! They can hear you in the house!") was "Not that hard, you've got claws on!" This was because we played card games, and half the cast had fake nailsCurrent: none Upcoming: Les Miserables ('09) Recent: Peter Pan- Crocodile

Re:What's your favorite cliche theater saying? - 2008/02/05 16:18When we do shows at this one theatre with soundproof walls in the greenroom and huge dressing rooms, we always do the songs that require spazziness, table involved choreography,or just plain loud! And it has a long metal stair-ladder thing but it's really sturdy and is perfect for a make-shift Out TonightI Rent a Wicked apartment on Avenue Q! (Unfortunatly, it's haunted by a Phantom) Sarah

Re:What's your favorite cliche theater saying? - 2008/02/05 21:13In this movie, CAMP (and Stephen Sondheim is in it -squee), and its overall hilarious to me. There is the overbearing director that always says "Eyes, eyes, nostrils, silent scream" to prep before you start the scene, so whenever I'm or someone else is about to go onstage, I always think or say that! Hahah
