Gamma Rays - 2006/11/10 00:41
Tomorrow I've got an audition for "The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds" at my school and I don't know who to audition for. The characters I'm considering are Ruth, the epileptic teenage daughter, or Beatrice, the bitter and harsh mother. I know I could definitely play Beatrice really well but I'm a sophomore and a bunch of our director's favorite juniors are trying for Beatrice too so I'm not sure he'll even consider me. (Plus if I get it they'll make my life hell). Ruth is a really interesting character and possibly the most difficult for me to play(she has to have a seizure onstage) and I'd love the challenge of playing that kind of character. Should I choose one or juyst go ahead and audition for both? I'm afraid he might think I'm not serious enogh about the characters if I audition for both. What do y'all think?
