Re:New Recordings - PLEASE need advice! - 2008/03/09 00:49 My favorites are Mama Who Bore Me & There's a Fine Fine Line. I would be concerned about singing Mama Who Bore Me just because it's from Spring Awakening & that's really popular now, so you do run the risk of being one of a million other girls singing that song. But you do sound great. For There's a Fine Fine Line, I'd just work on your breath support on the higher notes. And again, you sound great.

I'm really interested in where you got your background tracks, too. They're really high quality. I'd like to see what else they have.

Re:New Recordings - PLEASE need advice! - 2008/03/09 11:26 Thank You

Yeah i find There's a fine fine line really hard to sing - ive no idea how julie atherton betls out those notes

At the moment no one seems to have heard much from spring awakening in the UK - i used that one at a recent audition and the director asked me to do that because he said "he loved the show and no-one does anything from it" but since it's coming over here next year i imagine it will soon be very popular!!

The backing tracks are mainly pocket karaoke songs - i got from a shop in london called the "Dress Circle" they have a great online website to buy from http://www.dresscircle.co.uk/ and my "Mama who bore me" track was off a man who played it and put it on youtube

Re:New Recordings - PLEASE need advice! - 2008/03/09 22:02 ooooo....thanks for the link! I didn't realize you were from the UK. I recommend Mama Who Bore me, then, if it's not so well known over there.

Re:New Recordings - PLEASE need advice! - 2008/03/22 13:07 You have a great voice. You are extremely talented and a joy to listen to. The only thing that I would recommend you work on is your intonation. Occasionally, when holding out long notes, you "wander" around. In "The Wizard and I", it sounded like you were holding back. That is a difficult song to sing and you sang it beautifully, but I would have liked to hear you get more emotional (make the "bigs" bigger). Havng said that, I don't know where you recorded that; maybe that was not possible.

With your talent and skills, you should be able to do big stuff! Good Luck!
