Resume Question - 2008/02/29 23:17 I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, so feel free to move it if it needs to be!

I perform in a lot of what I call "mini-shows". They're not really full-length shows, or even one acts, but they aren't really skits either. They're usually 15 to 25 minutes long, some of them are one scene, others have three to five scenes. Where would I list this on a resume?

Also, is there a place to list all of the roles I've sang for in show choir? I list show choir, but our show choir does a good deal of theatre songs, and I'm often the featured soloist in those.
This isn't a golf tournament, being loud is more than acceptable!

Re:Resume Question - 2008/03/01 07:22 Actually, this a question I'd like to know the answer to, too. I've played a few wonderful roles... in scenes from the plays. On mine, I just put, for example: The Childrens Hour (selected scenes)..... Peggy Rogers..... CASA Auditioning for: Brigadoon, theatre season, American Music Theatre, Into the Woods, Sound of Music, and AMDA.

Re:Resume Question - 2008/03/07 12:35 As for the short plays - Just list them as you would a long play. A play is a play. List the name of the play, the role you played and where you performed it. Most folks aren't going to question you about it. As for Show Choir, I would list your experience as a soloist in the Show Choir. You didn't actually play the role. If your resume is really short, you could list some of your best solos, but I wouldn't go all out on it. Show Choir is different from doing a full scale show in the eyes of directors. As you get older, you should have more real shows to list. Listing scenes from acting class - hmmmm. I've never done it. I've heard that some do it. However, once you get past college age, I wouldn't anymore. It's probably OK when you are in High School and early college. But replace those credits ASAP.
