Company - 2008/02/21 08:38 Did anyone watch Company last night? It was shown as part of WHYY's Great Performance Series. I must say, I thought that it was quite amazing. Raul Esparza is awesome, and I loved the staging.

Re:Company - 2008/02/21 09:31 Ugh, I wish I could have, but my stupid PBS affiliate didn't buy the rights to show it, thinking that the general public in my area wouldn't be interested in seeing it. They played shows about ballroom dancing instead.

Peace!
Sarah

Re:Company - 2008/02/21 13:28 I got home from my audition at about 8:50 and just sat around thinking for a good while. I knew it was on, but I just wasn't in the mood. I'll kick myself for it eventually. Briana

Currently: Roustabout, "Side Show"

Re:Company - 2008/02/21 14:32 I saw part of it as I was sitting at my computer writing a fan letter. I taped it and I will watch it later. I really liked what I saw (this is my first experience with Company and almost my first with Sondheim Don't hurt me)

Re:Company - 2008/02/21 17:24 I got my mom to tape it since my VCR doesn't tape anything on a channel higher than 13 (PBS is either 22 or 24 for me). I was in dress rehearsal last night, so I couldn't catch it... I will watch it when I can find an ounce of spare time, but I'm really excited to eventually see it, as is my brother dearest who is a big Raul Esparza fan. Kathleen Sera

Re:Company - 2008/02/21 18:21 i saw most of it, but just so you all know-- they are repeating it all weekend. i forget the times off the top of my head, but i am pretty sure it's on tonight and friday and then next week a few times.

i do have to say i am much more a Company fan after watching it last night. i like how the minimalist staging worked. i really liked The Ladies Who Lunch. i even liked Amy. April was really good, too. and i think i am now a raul esparza groupie....

it's on tomorrow Fri 11:30-2pm, and Sun 12:-2:45 am and 2-4:30pm

Re:Company - 2008/02/21 23:03 I was lucky to see it and was glad to be able to actually see it performed. It's always different from just listening. It was genius! I enjoyed all the songs. Now I'm kind of wishing I had taped it or something to rewatch it sometime Name: Devyn
